GLP Testing Facility

CANTEST’s GLP testing facility is located in a self-contained 50,000 sq ft facility in Burnaby, BC. The building was occupied in October 2007, following extensive renovations and upgrades and was designed with the the needs of our customers and the principles of scientific excellence in mind.

Key features of the facility include:

• Externally monitored and swipe card enabled security system with controlled access for GLP and GMP testing areas
• Industrial stand-by gas turbine generator and UPS : 99.8% start reliability for the turbine once power has transferred from the UPS. The turbine produces 12,000kW of power to the building
• On-site and off-site fireproof paper archive storage with controlled access via a dedicated archivist
• Externally and internally alarmed and monitored long-term specimen storage at -70°C, -40°C, -20°C , 2-8°C and 2-6°C temperatures
• Clean room containing laminar flow hood, class 100 trace metals hood and cytotoxic weigh hood
• Dedicated balance room, bioanalytical lab, bio and non-bio acid lab, oven/furnace lab, workshop, trace element and trace organic instrument lab
