Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing relationships both in and outside of the organization; to manage projects; to oversee processes excluding laboratory operations; to assist in maintaining GLP compliance; to anticipate and prevent problems; assist with business development activities.

Specific responsibilites include:

  • Builds and maintains positive relationships with clients and colleagues, facilitates communication and cooperation between team members.
  • Keeps senior management informed of progress, deadlines and issues. 
  • Manages projects including client communications and expectations, project scheduling, project tracking, reporting, sample storage, archiving studies.
  • Implements project management methodology to improve the existing processes, reduces method development times and ensures a steady flow of new projects to achieve department strategic and financial goals (in conjunction with Project Management Team).
  • Anticipates and prevents problems, assists in solving problems that do occur – with regards to GLP compliance, safety, resource allocation, client complaints.
  • Schedules meetings (creates agendas, writes minutes and acts on follow up actions).
  • Ensures compliance to Quality Assurance Procedures, understanding GLP issues and compliance for study record binders, study records, study plans, computer files, archiving; communicates the standard expected from colleagues.
  • Communicates with Corporate Quality Assurance as required regarding changes in the project's schedule to ensure the GLP master schedule is always updated. 

Job Qualifications:

  • Technical diploma in a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of project management experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Designation is an asset
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Self directed problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Effective communications skills, written and verbal.
  • Experience with MS Office and good computer skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute plans and objectives.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
