CANTEST develops custom processes for water and waste treatment. The biological and chemical laboratory facilities enable scientists to ensure that selected processes are effective before they are installed.

CANTEST's approach allows clients to adopt and prove custom solutions with less risk than normally associated with packaged treatment systems.

After a thorough assessment of the waste stream and the associated processes, the design of a treatment strategy can begin. Then the process requirements are specified in detail according to regulations and desired performance. Allowable discharges and process constraints for product quality are accounted for; and if the client requests, CANTEST can incorporate treatability studies and on-site test cells.

Biological and chemical treatment equipment can be evaluated by bench-testing processes against specific waste streams.

On-site tests using portable treatment labs can optimize  treatment methods prior to scale-up; such tests employ full compliance for leachability and long-term stability.

If required, process engineering and implementation is undertaken in conjunction with industry specific technical specialists.
