CANTEST’s Forensic Equine Drug Testing (FEDT) Division is accredited by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) to the most current version of CAN-P-1578 (“Guidelines for the Accreditation of Forensic Testing Laboratories”) and ISO/IEC 17025 (“General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories”), as required by the Canadian Pari-Mutuel Agency (CPMA).
SCC accreditation includes a site inspection once every two years and satisfactory performance in a Proficiency Testing (PT) program. The FEDT Division participates in Proficiency Testing and Quality Assurance (QA) programs organized by the following:
