Nutritional Labelling The Nutrition Labelling Act, initiated by Health Canada in January 2003, states that food producers and importers are required to include a specific list of 'nutrition facts' on product labels in a pre-defined format. By December 15, 2005 almost all food products will require Nutrition Facts labels on consumer packages. Are your products labelled? Is your company compliant with new regulations? CANTEST's food chemists and technical staff have significant experience in helping clients meet new Canadian standards. CANTEST is accredited with Standards Council of Canada (SCC) under ISO 17025 for analysis of mandatory nutritional parameters. As part of the nutritional labelling service, an accurate mock-up label is provided in a Health Canada approved format that is product ready. The laboratory is also capable of testing food and beverage products for labelling requirements in other jurisdictions, including the United States. CANTEST offers free sample pick-up to qualified customers within the Greater Vancouver area, Victoria, Kelowna and Winnipeg.
