Ensuring the welfare of people in the workplace is an important consideration for many  North American organizations, as is adhering to environmental safety standards and regulations. Typical projects for CANTEST’s experienced Microbiology and Industrial Hygiene analysts include

• air quality assessments (parameter analyzed include allergens, volatile organic compounds, particulate and airborne heavy metals, airborne fibres, inorganic compounds, asbestos and combustion products such as carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, formaldahyde, nitrogen dioxide and sulphur dioxide)
• compressed and medical gas system testing,
• bulk insulation identification and a variety of specialized analyses in support of environmental projects.

CANTEST has extensive experience employing methodologies prescribed by Workers’ Compensation Boards, the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health  (NIOSH), the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM). In addition, the laboratory has significant expertise in microbiology research and analysis.
