CANTEST offers a wide range of services for evaluation and monitoring of chemicals, contaminants, industrial effluents and environmental effects. Project Managers work closely with environmental managers to monitor and assess the potential environmental impacts of industrial activities.

Aquatic Toxicology

The environmental toxicology laboratory is one of the largest in Western Canada and is recognized as OECD-GLP compliant by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) for eco-toxicology, eco-fate and physical/ chemical testing.

CANTEST's team of aquatic and ecotoxicologists provides services ranging from permit bioassays and related toxicology services to projects requiring customized experimental design and interpretative toxicology reporting. The company has over 30 years of experience in aquatic toxicity testing.

Through coordination between in-house laboratories: organic and inorganic chemistry, acid mine drainage, microbiology and biotechnology CANTEST's scientific experts are able to provide a wide range of toxicology services that go well beyond routine toxicity testing.

CANTEST's Toxicologists have guest-lectured at universities, and have presented novel studies at a variety of seminars and international conferences. They have also conducted courses on toxicological issues for industrial associations, such as the Pulp and Paper Technical Association of Canada (PAPTAC).
