Government agencies at all levels have programs in place to monitor and regulate the quality of public and private water systems. CANTEST's Environmental Quality scientists hold the knowledge and expertise to assist clients in ensuring that these government regulations are met, and public safety is protected.
Common potable (drinking) water testing projects include the following:
- Determinations (Arsenic, Lead, Cadmium, etc.)
- Anions (Chloride, Fluoride, Nitrate, etc.)
- Physical and chemical characteristics (pH, turbidity, hardness, etc.)
- Pesticides and herbicides
- Microbiology (Coliform, E-coli, etc.) and
- Unknown contaminant identification.
Emergency Response Service
CANTEST’s Environmental Quality department also provides emergency response services for local municipalities and other water suppliers. Operators under this program have access to a dedicated, 24-hour emergency laboratory contact who is available to take immediate action in analyzing water sources relating to:
- Spill response
- Security breaches
- Outbreak of water borne illness
