2008-01 Malachite Green Testing Services for Monitoring Farmed Fish

CANTEST is fully accredited  by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) and approved by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) to conduct analyses for malachite green and leucomalachite green in seafood.

With the recent US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) findings of these contaminates in some Canadian farmed fish products and CFIA concerns with Asian Imports into Canada, it is essential that products are tested and free of these  potential carcinogens before they reach market.

CANTEST also provide testing for other critical drug residues in fish such as amphenicols, nitrofurans, sulfonamides, tetracyclines, oxolinic acid, flumequine, emamectin, and ivermectin.
