CANTEST Awarded $4.3M Contract with the CPMASpecial Announcement July 13, 2005 Burnaby, BC – CANTEST Ltd. is pleased to announce the recent award of a multi-year Standing Offer agreement with the CPMA to provide drug control services. CANTEST’s Forensic Equine Drug Testing Unit has provided analytical services to the Canadian government and the horse racing industry for over 35 years. The laboratory currently analyses more than 40,000 samples per year for a list of over 2,000 performance-enhancing drugs and other banned substances. In 2004, CANTEST uncovered 28 positive cases of banned substances in animals that resulted in legal action. The Forensic Equine Drug Testing Unit also works with veterinarians and owners on pre-purchase screening, as well as horse and dog show testing programs.
